Yorkshire Dales with a touch of snow

Towards the end of the dreaded year 2020, the UK was hit by the tail end of a storm. The storm brought a dusting of snow and frosty weather across the hills. A brief trip around the Yorkshire Dales, to capture some images with a slightly wintery outlook.

Eshton Tree Copse was the first place I passed on my way into the Dales, now snow but a frosty feeling. The popular waterfalls for Janet’s Foss & Gordale Scar around Malham, very cold but not much snow. The snow finally appeared on the limestone high above Malham at the “Lone Tree”. A tricky drive over the hill tops and passed Malham Tarn, dropping down to another Lone Tree & limestone, this time at Winskill Stones.

On the way till the impressive Ribblehead Viaduct, with drive on more interesting snowy covered roads a visit down to Scaleber Force above Settle. Finishing up the trip, and catching the winter sunset at Ribblehead Viaduct.
