The Elf Express – Keighley & Worth Valley Railway

“The Elf Express” ran over the festive seasons on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. This was in place of the normal festive service “The Santa Special”, COVID-19 had other ideas. November 2020 saw a nationwide lockdown occur, and this through doubt on the seasonal special train. Luckily through hard work, great planning & have compartment coaches the railway was able to produce a festive train. “The Elf Express” ran from Oxenhope to Keighley return, Keighley was transformed into “Kringle Town” and Santa visited each compartment here.

Three trains ran the special over the course of the month, the whole event sold out quickly. The trains where packed with families being able to enjoy a day out, COVID secure.

Below a collection of images below from across the month. Typical British December offered a great variation of weather, helping produce some great memories and images (used by the Railway online as well).
