Peek into 2016

Better late than never, a brief sneaky peak into my 2016, big change was leaving freelance life behind and joining the Gin Festival team, as photographer.

The first half of 2016 was spent working at Studio24, mainly photographing images for the online shop/catalogue, with the odd bit of still life. The skills and techniques of studio photography I acquired here by some colourful characters, has certainly set me in good stead for the future. While still working for Studio 24, picked up some freelance work from old friends over at Gin Festival, mainly covering events, then cataloging online products and still life work for Gin Explorer.

As they say the rest is history, joining what can be described as band of motley crue characters at times, extremely hard working and passionate about the job. The design team is what I’d call home, and they ticket all the boxes just mentioned,  it’s certainly a good place to be working. Gin Festival is a constantly growing & expanding force, and I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in one of the upcoming projects towards the end of the year, launching their first Gin., Tinker.

Cool highlights, getting a photo of Haworth on BBC, Photograph Flying Scotsman and annual trip to Whitby Illuminations.
